Preparations are underway for the Tarpon Springs Leadership Conservatory for the Arts 22nd Annual Outdoor Music Festival (OMF). The festival is on October 14, 2017, from 1:00 PM – 10:00 PM at Tarpon Springs High School.
Join us for a great day of music, food and fun! OMF is a family-friendly event that offers free parking. General admission tickets are $15, and discount tickets are available for children, seniors and military personnel.
What is OMF?
The Outdoor Music Festival, also known as OMF, is an all day high school marching band competition. It brings together schools from across Florida and the nation. Historically, about 25 marching bands compete, and about 5,000 guests attend. OMF offers band-themed merchandise and mouthwatering food and beverages, but it’s the marching bands that take center stage.
OMF Fundraising
For the Tarpon Springs Leadership Conservatory for the Arts, OMF is our largest fundraiser of the year. Funds are raised through ticket sales and concessions, but a majority comes from sales of OMF program advertisements and sponsorship opportunities.
Advertisements and sponsorships are still available, and advertisements range from $50 for a business card size ad to $250 for a full-page ad. Sponsorships range from $100 for a Festival Support Sponsorship to $20,000 for an Event Name Sponsorship. The advertising deadline is September 30, 2017.
OMF: Leadership Beyond the Classroom
For Conservatory students, OMF is an opportunity to apply what they learn in the classroom in a real-life situation — the planning and implementation of a large event and fundraiser. All Conservatory students take a yearlong leadership class, and for OMF, they use that knowledge to help provide a world-class marching competition.
OMF mirrors the experiences students are privileged to have when competing in Bands of America competitions in Atlanta and Indianapolis. When Tarpon students perform on field at OMF, Conservatory alumni take over, continuing a long-standing tradition of giving back to the program that gave so much to them.
